I met you in Austin at SXSW at that panel thing... I remember waking up late that morning and running the many miles from my hotel to the convention center for that... sat in the front row, listened to the whole group talk then it ended and I thought well I'm about to meet Tom Morello and before I could get up you were mobbed by a bunch of rage fans with cameras in hand... i still got the last signature though, haha I just wanted to tell that story and say that I have been inspired by your music, first with rage, then those other two things you had goin on... and the third one... your solo act, was way better than I was expecting, saw that at coachella, I am a filmmaker and a musician fighting for the same causes as any aware american, I see injustices everyday, my family along with countless others has fallen apart, as we work harder every day we continue to be enveloped by debt and consumed by work... I pursue my dreams to the fullest in hopes that one day I will prevail. I feel like I have a lot to offer... If you have any interest what so ever I would love to get some feedback on my work or ideas in film and music...

if not I'm sure we'll cross paths one day.

I can't wait until you announce dates in the states. I think you guys are the best band in the world. I've only seen the band play twice in my life so hopefully theres another show coming to MN soon. Every song, every riff, every beat is so powerful. Tom, your the shit when it comes to guitar. Unbelievable! Just one chance to hang out and listen to your visions and ideological ideas about politics or the guitar would be a day not wasted. Keep turning out those riffs brother.

Hi Tom. I'm a die-hard fan of all the music you've made: Lock Up, RATM (especially), Audioslave, AoJ, and Nightwatchman. You're an amazingly well-rounded guitarist and perhaps my biggest hero. Please add some more US dates (like in So Cal) for 08 or 09 (I'm a minor, so I can't really can't go to any shows they won't let me go to, namely the other-continent shows). You and Zack made a new generation anarchist from an ultra-conservative town - take pride in that! =]

Tom. I'm not going to join these others by wining "please come to my town to the other side of the world..." and so on (thought I'd like a concert in finland´very much thoughxD) Your sounds are so amazing!! It seems like the guitar is a body part or something to you! And how the hell is 90 percent of your riffs so fuckin' amazing!!?! Know your enemy is the best song there is in this world and the riff in it is also the best! Your solos are best I've ever heard and Rage Against The Machine is the kind of band that world needs more. What I'm sayin' is that you guys rock!!! (Never seen you live. I'll bet it's also kickass stuff)

Tom and gang,
Glad to see you guys are finally back together. All your fans missed you and love what you have done to support the world in it's fight against tyranny and oppression. I wish it could have been sooner...nevertheless it's good news. I thought the episode of Rollins with Serji from System was awesome and I found the Axis of Justice site full of tons of info on how to get involved.

Three questions:
What's the studio plans look like if any?

Will there be a US tour to coincede with the elections?

Where does all the cash go from the MERCH sold on the site? Is the clothing from American Apparel?

Thanks and have a great New Year!

tom, while i don't necessarily agree with the extremism that you preach, the message that Rage delivers has inspired me in ways i never thought possible. i am speaking out in my community, something i never thought i would do, and thanks to the message you have delivered, i can not take things for granted anymore. i will continue to urge my community to listen and to open their eyes to the truth, i look forward to another show,(at alpine again, perhaps?) and wanted to also praise your revolutionsary skills not only as an idealist and a human being, but also as a guitarist. well done, sir.

Tom, I can't thank you and the rest of the band enough for coming back together. I started to listen up your music just after the band splitted, so I've never saw you on a live show.
I can't explain with words how I feel when I listen to your music; I understand that people tell you this all of the time, but I don't mind. The important thing is what you offered me throught all the years, because of that all I want is to say is THANK YOU.
We'll see each other in Lisbon, July 10th.

PD: I'm from Argentina, born in Alta Gracia, Córdoba, where Ernesto "Che" Guevara lived his childhood. I invite you to come and visit his home, that turned into a museum dedicated to his life.
I leave my band's myspace here for any thing.

Take care man.

Tom, I just saw you yesterday in Auckland at Big Day Out. I have to say I was quite moved by both your Nightwatchman and Rage performances. I am 23 and have been a Rage fan for as long as I can remember. I wanted to let you know that I am inspired by you and the rest of the band. Your Nightwatchman CD had a great influence on me and helped inspire me to move to New Zealand! Like Serj...that was a great cameo by the way. I used to work for Bechtel (I'm assuming you know of them) and decided that was not morally acceptable for myself, especially after reading the book "Confessions of an Economic Hitman." I am disgusted with the United States, and have moved here temporarily to spend time thinking about what I can do to change things. It's a tough world but the complacence exhibited by most of the American public will get nothing done. They need YOU! So thank you for doing what you do and always remember you are really affecting people lives. That being the case, never never never stop! I had this dream that I wanted to get on the BDO tour and be a photographer and meet you guys, but I tried by asking people yesterday and that didn't work. If you could hook me up with that, it would be amazing and change but life, but I know, not likely... If that is at all possible let me know, but if not, KEEP THAT FIRE BURNING!

Your fan,
Trevor Kemp

Tom, you've been one of the biggest influences in my life...thank you for speaking out...not only through the music, but through the words. This country is in a dire need for a know it, and I know it. I can't wait to finally break these chains that this fascist corporate sponsor holds on all of us. I'm writing a manifesto, and if enough luck somes through for me, maybe, just maybe my voice can be heard thorughout the lands like yours. Your brother, Torbs.

I am a product of RATM, literally… I have been listening to you guys and other groups like KRS-ONE, and Dead Prez (maybe a little too much) for many years. I have just finished my coursework for my B.A. in politics and will continue my studies and in a year or so will receive my degree in Music Industry Studies. I also plan to begin Master's studies in Politics after I'm done with music. My master plan is to become active in politics but gain popularity through music.

Anyway, I was reading a book by Robert Walzer, a famous Harvard professor, and he claimed the obligation of oppressed minorities is to change the system from the inside by using the system against itself. Does RATM plan on taking a role in American politics by either supporting / running candidates, or attempting to pass legislation in order to shange the system?

Last summer when I heard RATM was getting back together, my friends and I drove from Denver to NYC in order to catch you at Rock the Bells. Then last month, I was studying abroad in Europe and was able to catch you play Pinkpop in Landgraaf, Holland. Anyway, I just got a job working Lollapalooza and will see you guys next month. I was hoping that you can do me a favor and add “No Shelter” to that night’s set. It is my favorite Rage song, and I’m even working on a cover of that song on the piano.

i dont get why everyone is saying Tom;

Mr. Morello,

you have inspired me more than anyone else in this world, i'm only 14 and you're the reason i play the guitar 4 hours a day, youre the reason i got so involved in politics, and you're the reason i know who i am. For this i thank you, and can wish nothing more than to see you in concert someday. I have all of your work and cal play (almost) all of it on the guitar. Keep doing what you're doing and you can hopefully inspire the rest of my generation to become more like you.

Free mumia!
